   The Rick Mahorn Big Man Camp is the premier big man skills camp for serious players. By coupling big man drills with scrimmages, under Rick’s guidance you will test what you are learning in the crucible of competition. In addition, mental conditioning sessions will strengthen your confidence, focus, and ability to constantly maintain an aggressive mindset enabling you to play at your best.

   Ettore Messina, who joined the Spurs coaching staff after an acclaimed career in Europe, is a champion of the Rick Mahorn Big Man Camp formula. “For most young big men, footwork and balance are one of the most important areas they need to improve. They all look elegant in their workout tapes, but in actual games you see how often they get off-balance and pushed around. Unless you are practicing your moves in real-life scrimmages you are wasting your efforts.”

WHAT SETS THE RICK MAHORN BIG MAN CAMP APART?

1. The best teacher: Rick Mahorn brings 18 years of NBA experience and his legendary “Bad Boys” fame to work with you and help you bolster your game in two important ways: (1) to better understand how to use the skills you have to dominate in the post – as he did – and (2) to expand your skill set through systematic drills.

2. Putting what you learn to the test: Perfecting drills is just the beginning. We all tend to revert to old habits.  The ultimate goal of the Rick Mahorn Big Man Camp is not just teaching you big man skills but providing you with the tools necessary to execute those skills when it counts – in actual game play.  Scrimmages and games will help you test what you are learning and help insure that you leave the camp with an enhanced skill set!!!

3. Developing the total player: This is the most comprehensive teaching camp around. You play with your body AND your mind, so we help you develop the mental skills needed to use your physical assets efficiently and forcefully. 

4. Are you looking for a club for 2017-18? You will have the chance to be seen by coaches, team representatives and agents will be in attendance at all scheduled games. We will help you network with European clubs and (if you wish) respected and reliable agents.

                           CAMP DETAILS

ALL PRACTICES AND GAMES will take place in the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena, which is the gym used by Spanish ACB club UNICAJA. 
The camp hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn, a very comfortable yet reasonably priced hotel just 10 minutes walk from the gym.  
Those wishing a cheaper alternative may want to stay at the nearby Ibis Budget Aeropuerto Hotel.  We will help you pair up with another player (room rates allow for two single beds).  Players are also free to make your own arrangements.  
THOSE NOT STAYING AT THE HILTON WILL BE CHARGED THE CAMP RATE ONLY.

REGISTRATION

   Registration covers all camp sessions. It does NOT include transportation to/from Malaga or personal insurance during the camp. Medical personnel will be available during sessions as needed. Full payment includes 6 nights hotel and daily breakfast. For other options (as noted above) you may register for CAMP ONLY.

   Those from the area or others wishing to arrange for your own accommodations are welcome to do so.

NOTE:
1. In the unlikely event the camp is cancelled you will receive a FULL REFUND
2. Players cancelling by 25.6.17 will receive full refund minus a 50 Euros administrative fee.
3. Players cancelling after 25.6.17  will receive 75% refund or by other arrangement with camp administration.
